Beautiful sculpture demonstrates an eternal love story

Well that is just beautifully heart wrenching.

Georgian Artist Tamara Kvesitadze has created an installation that not only exemplifies her skill in design and mechanics, but also tells a story of eternal love separated by nations.

The structure symbolises two lovers, Ali and Nino, who are constantly longing for one another but can never be together.

At 7 p.m. each night, the statues begin changing positions moving towards one another until they meet half way to embrace.

The heart wrenching part is that they never truly embrace, solely moving through one another to never actually touch.

The design itself is complex and beautiful and mirrors the story of passionate love torn apart by culture, religion and war based on a 1937 novel by Kurban Said.
