Even if you don't have a lot of room, you can still create a dramatic bathroom with the new Freelance lifestyle suite from Kohler

When space is at a premium

Renovation projects are often restricted by budget and the structural confines of an existing home. This is particularly true of older-style bathrooms, which are usually considerably smaller than those in modern homes.

Achieving an up-to-the-minute look isn't difficult, however. It's simply a matter of selecting the right products.

With this in mind, Kohler recently released a new bathroomware collection. Managing director Peter Johnston says the Freelance lifestyle suite presents a collection of products designed around the complementary and harmonious elements of the earth, such as coral, wood and natural stone.

"Freelance presents modern shapes with smooth, curved lines," he says. "It's a clean, contemporary look, with products available in a range of sizes to ensure optimum flexibility."

Johnston says the modular design of the Freelance collection makes is well suited to small bathrooms. A variety of fixing options enhance its adaptability.

The modern form of Freelance is matched by its functionality and ease of maintenance. For example, the Freelance close-coupled toilet suite features a removable seat for easy cleaning. Concealed fixings ensure the clean lines of your bathroom are not disrupted.

The Freelance shower-bath offers an eye-catching, all-in-one bathing solution. This curved bath with matching screen is designed to instantly update any bathroom. It also offers the best of both worlds when the size of your room doesn't allow for a separate shower and bath.

A choice of washbasins provides further design flexibility with the Freelance ensemble. The range includes a wall-hung basin with integrated towel rail – a practical design solution when space is limited.

Freelance vanity cabinetry includes units that have a light maple-effect finish and frosted glass doors. There are also pedestal and side units, and tall wall units with glass shelves, says Johnston.

"This collection offers a variety of functional storage solutions that enhance the clean, uncluttered look of today's contemporary bathrooms. It's a design concept that will increase both the actual and perceived space."

It's also a collection that creates a co-ordinated look for your bathroom. To complement the stand-alone vanity cabinetry, there is a range of mirrors and mirror cabinets.
