The Silverdale Centre' roof was installed by Kiwi Roofing
If the roof of a domestic house is its most effective protection, then the same applies tenfold for an expansive, multifaceted retail development.
Experienced commercial roofing company Kiwi Roofing installed the roofing for the Silverdale Centre over an 18-month duration.
Silverdale Centre was a large scale job which required the installation of several different roofing products depending on customers individual requirements, says managing director Paul Connell.
"For the Countdown premises we were asked to install Kingspan insulated panel roofing as this product provides close control over the ambient temperature of the interior – vital in a business where the freshness of food depends on a controlled environment."
Kiwi Roofing owns the specialist equipment required to install the Kingspan roof. This includes lifting equipment that avoids direct handling of the material as each sheet is lowered into place.
"We are seeing increasing interest in the use of Kingspan, and with the purchase of the specific equipment needed, our services to install the product have increased tenfold," Connell says.
"For this project we had people on site the whole time during construction, and worked closely with the other subtrades and consulting firm Norman Disney & Young to achieve the tight deadlines."
The Kiwi Roofing management team has over 100 years' collective industry experience and the firm has more than 70 specialist staff. Kiwi Roofing also places high emphasis on health and safety.
