Experience counts for both big and small projects
From a vast department store to an intimate boutique – an experienced shopfitter has the skills to adapt to all types of clientele.
For Ancab Retail Fitout Specialists, projects of this nature have been commonplace over the past 13 years. The company has fitted out numerous supermarkets and stores for The Warehouse, including the most recent store at Sylvia Park, and also worked on several boutique outlets within the centre. These include The Sharing Shed hair salon and Retreat home decor store. Ancab also built several departments within the new Foodtown at Sylvia Park, including the bakery and card and magazine displays.
Director Alan Annan says The Sharing Shed is the eighth store the company has fitted out for the chain. Each store features solid ash timber counters, mirror surrounds and ceilings, a curved blue neon lighting strip and suspended television monitors.
The Retreat decor store, which sells candles and small luxury items, has a very different ambience. To create an intimate atmosphere, the ceiling was painted black, and dark shelving, designed to absorb the light, was installed. The products are highlighted by downlights, with mood lighting enhancing specific areas.
Annan says most of the fit-out work undertaken by Ancab is for chain stores of more than six locations.
"Once we have developed a product, we can then create modulated systems within our own factory. This ensures the run-outs for subsequent stores are price competitive for our clients."
