Bring the warmth, vitality and easy living of the tropics into your homewith the new Bahama Collection from Warwick Fabrics
There are few things more satisfying at the end of a long, tiring day than coming home, drawing the curtains and sinking into a plush, comfortable sofa.
The newest range of upholstery fabrics from Warwick Fabrics lets you enhance that sense of escape and retreat. With its distinct tropical-island influence, the Bahama Collection includes seven different complementary designs that can be mixed and matched to suit your needs.
For example, Oceanic has a sharply defined, tropically inspired floral pattern, Waikiki is characterised by a subtle tonal stripe and Nuala features a seersucker, rattan influence. The co-ordinating Bahama and Baya designs have a raffia texture – one is plain, the other has a self-coloured Hawaiian floral weave.
A wide selection of complementary shades, including Banana, Calypso, Tangerine, Passionfruit and Olive, reflects the equatorial feel of the Bahama Collection. Bright tones, such as Papaya and Lime, and more subtle shades like Vanilla and Sand are drawn from the latest international colour trends.
Martin Irvine, managing director for Warwick Fabrics in New Zealand, says the collection has a worn, rustic appearance with a smart edge. For example, the sun bleached-look Hawaii design is a linen-cotton, washed fabric with a hibiscus pattern that comes in a choice of six colours.
"We're very excited to be launching the Bahama Collection," says Irvine. "Its strong and appealing theme has a sophisticated, contemporary look."
All fabrics in the Bahama Collection are suitable for everyday use, while the Oceanic and Hawaii designs can also be used for drapery.
