Take a look around your home. Wouldn't it be great to start work on that new home office you've been thinking about? How about an extra ensuite for when friends and family visit?

Whether you prefer to plan your makeover long-term or want to revamp your interior now, Westpac has a range of products that could help you achieve your goals, says Lisa Daly, a priority banking manager at Westpac's Howick branch.

The Bonus Saver account, for example, rewards customers who save regularly and do not touch their savings, with tier-base and bonus interest.

"Bonus Saver is a great way to save for that new kitchen, lounge suite or minor room extension. My customers like the fact that we recognise them for saving money on a regular basis and not making any withdrawals," says Daly. "And they say they're more likely to think twice about dipping into their funds if they stand to lose that extra interest."

Daly says if you simply can't wait to get on with your interior decorating project, you may want to consider a Westpac home-loan top-up.

"Anyone who has a Westpac home loan and some equity in their house can apply for a top-up of up to $30,000 to carry out home improvements."

One of the advantages is that no formal application is required. However, lending criteria apply and an establishment fee may apply.

"It's a fast and easy process that can be carried out over the phone with one of Westpac's priority relationship managers or a branch consultant. Without time-consuming application forms, we cut through unnecessary red tape and help our customers achieve their decorating goals quickly and efficiently," says Daly.
