Reflected glory

These days, as commercial kitchens are often open to customer scrutiny, contemporary wall claddings such as glass can open up an area, create an eye-catching feature and at the same time provide a hygienic, easy-to-clean surface.

Technological innovations by Graphic Glass have resulted in a purpose-built, glass coating system providing strong adhesion in the harsh environment of the commercial kitchen.

All Graphic Glass products are independently tested by Unisearch for thermal shock, alkaline resistance, fading and other enduring qualities, says technical manager Howard Francis.

"The result is a hard-wearing, reflective surface available in myriads of dazzling colors, including pearlescents and metallics," says Francis.

Using the colour forecasting skills of Pete Tearle, Graphic Glass has developed a standard range of finishes that can be viewed on its website. The company's laboratory also provides a full custom-colour matching service for clients.

As well as extensive use in kitchens, other commercial applications for Graphic Glass custom-made panels are corporate foyers, lift-car liners, feature-wall claddings in restaurants, and even flooring.

For details, visit one of Graphic Glass' seven nation-wide outlets or see the displays at Home Ideas Centres in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch, phone 0800 660 001. .
