Design-and-build homes that offer individuality and innovation are the specialty of David Reid Homes

Point of difference

No matter what architectural style you choose for your home, the roofing needs to complement the rest of the exterior. The David Reid Homes show home featured on these pages has a Gerard Corona Shake roof in Graphite.

The Hamilton show home was built by a local franchise operator for David Reid Homes – one of a growing network of franchisees established throughout the country.

Alan Butcher of David Reid Homes says Gerard Roofs products are specified for many of the company's homes for a variety of reasons.

"We are always looking to profile high-quality products, not just for our show homes, but for all our company's projects," he says. "For this house, the dark, bold look of the Gerard Corona Shake satin tiles was a perfect complement to the clean, plastered exterior of the home."

Alan Butcher says his company also specifies Gerard Roofs products for practical reasons.

"We particularly like the network of skilled installers who carry out such a professional job," he says. "In addition, the lightweight metal roofing is a bonus. The variety of different roofing styles also allows us to meet every client's needs."

Gerard Corona Shake tiles, like all Gerard Roofs products, have a 50-year pro rata weatherproof guarantee, which covers coastal locations.

Gerard Roofs products feature on many of the new David Reid show homes around the country. At present there are franchisee show homes in Hamilton, Christchurch, and Central Otago. New homes are also due to open soon in Paua-nui, Kerikeri, Papamoa, Taupo and Auckland's North Shore.
