Modern take on tradition

The contemporary styling of the house is further enhanced by custom-made aluminium doors and windows. Able Aluminium supplied Silver Pearl, powdercoated residential joinery, which gives a crisp, modern look to the exterior.

Sales consultant Rob Simpson says the joinery on the lower level includes sliding doors with side panels incorporating aluminium louvres.

"These are an alternative to cedar louvres and were chosen not just for their modern look, but also for their durability and low maintenance," he says. "Louvres also provide good ventilation and are a feature of the bathrooms on the second storey of the house."

These bathrooms feature a double slider system, which incorporates a sliding glass panel, as well as the louvred panel. When slid across, the louvres provide both ventilation and privacy.

Able Aluminium also supplied the double-storey glazing in the main living area and formal entrance, and Miro satin-chrome hardware for both interior and exterior doors.
