The position of the DesignHaus Omaha show home close to the sea means it enjoys wonderful views. However, proximity to the ocean can also cause bright light and glare.

NZ Window Shades' commercial manager Lois Hayson says designer David Ponting chose roller blinds from the company's new Design Gallery range of fabrics. The simple, clean look of the Luxaflex Panorama white chain-controlled roller shades in the living areas and master bedroom complements the minimalist style of the interior, while the sunscreening fabric provides protection from UV rays and reduces glare without completely blocking the view.

"In the second and third bedrooms, Luxaflex Twilight Cloud White blockout roller shades were selected for extra light control when needed and for additional privacy at night," says Hayson.

The shade fabric is cut using ultrasonic technology, to prevent fraying of the edges. Motorisation is also available for all Luxaflex products.
