Large rooms needn't be a lighting challenge, thanks to the efficiency of the Philips Europa2 downlight
Reducing energy demand and minimising maintenance costs are high priorities for building owners. For long-term peace of mind, new Europa2 downlights offer an eco-friendly solution.
Ray Sanders of Philips Lighting says exciting developments in new reflector technology mean up to 20% more light is gained with Europa2 downlights.
"This allows lower wattage lamps to be used, which ensures reduced power bills."
Sanders says although Europa2 is also a visually attractive luminaire, a choice of decorative accessories can be added to offer even more design flexibility. These include a sealed exterior version for lobby and entrance areas.
"Currently a top-selling downlight in Europe, the Europa2 is also finding favour here with owners of offices and hospitality buildings," says Sanders. "Many retail and education facilities are also taking advantage of the savings."
Sanders says Philips supplies Master PLC lamps with the Europa2 solution.
"The Master PLC has a 50% longer service lifetime than standard CFL lamps, which means more cost-effective maintenance. In addition, the Master PLC needs 45% less mercury than standard compact fluorescent lamps, which benefits all of us in terms of environmental protection."
