Design flexibility and contemporary technology make external hydraulic observation lifts from New Zealand Engineering Services a clear winner
Afunctional element that is also aesthetically pleasing and easy to install is a winning option. Modern lift designs provide an important example.
Specialists in lift and escalator technology, New Zealand Engineering Services creates custom lift solutions for an array of domestic and commercial operations, says construction manager Cory Barton.
"The architects on this project, Donald Design, wanted a new apartment block serviced by two passenger lifts, but was limited by building height restrictions and the need for a safety space above the lift shaft," Barton says. "NZES worked in closely with the architectural team to design two exterior lifts that avoided the need for the extra height and created feature elements for the project's frontage."
The lifts feature the latest LM-Dynahyda hydraulic drive system technology from German company Lift Materials, but much of their componentry was custom designed by NZES.
As well as designing and installing lifts, the company also undertakes ongoing maintenance. Recent installations include hospitals, retirement villages and apartments.
