Good design goes beyond sheer aesthetics to functionality and technology. In the kitchen, this means appliances that combine form and function to not only look good but also produce great results.

The Electrolux Gallery range of built-in appliances combines European styling with advanced features and ease of use. Fascias designed to attract attention are backed by sophisticated electronics that offer a variety of options.

Reflecting the latest European finishes, the range offers a choice of either textured aluminium or mar-resistant stainless steel. To ensure a consistent style expression, the Gallery range includes ovens, hobs, hoods, dishwashers, convection microwaves and an espresso machine.

Single, double and 90cm-wide oven models bring new dimensions to culinary endeavour. The modular steam ovens cook a range of foods while maintaining their natural flavours and moisture. An appetising finish is provided for meats by the cavity oven, while enhancing tenderness. The steamer dish accessory cooks as quickly as a pressure cooker, preserving flavour, vitamins and minerals, while the steam probe can be injected directly into poultry for succulent results.

The steam is pressureless so the oven window is clear at all times, and the steam cuts off automatically when the door is opened. In this humid cooking environment, food residue easily wipes away.

Electrolux Gallery offers a range of cooktop surfaces to complement the ovens. Induction models provide speed, safety and control, using half the energy of standard coil elements. The induction hobs respond quickly, don't retain heat when pots are removed, and have an automatic pot detection function.

The Gallery range also includes gas hobs with sturdy cast-iron trivets and electronic ignition. There is also a selection of cooktop modules designed by David Lewis of Bang & Olufsen, to create a personalised multi-fuel ensemble.

The interior layout of the dishwashers maximises the available space. The hydraulic system alternates between spray arms to reduce water levels and detergent and energy usage.

The dishwashers also fit in visually. As well as semi-integrated models, some have a lower décor panel to match the ovens, creating a striking modular effect.

For integrated styling, the range also includes canopy hoods, a convection microwave and an espresso machine. For more details, contact Electrolux Home Products (NZ) Ltd, phone (09) 573 2220, fax (09) 573 2360.
