Create atmosphere and entice shoppers with a tailored lighting design from Cetnaj Stronglink
Powerful product presentation is essential for success in today's retail environment. A well-planned lighting design can generate drama and focus, creating an X-factor that will entice customers and enhance their shopping experience.
The lighting solution for high street urban outfitter Harlem 23 was designed by Cetnaj Stronglink NZ. To meet theretailer's specific needs, Cetnaj lighting designer Wendy Bond specified a versatile, efficient system.
"Harlem 23 is a colourful, funky streetwear store. To highlight the walls, models and displays, we used par can halogen feature lights. Like smaller versions of theatre lights, they connect with the store's overall theme, tying in with the theatrical elements of hip-hop," says Bond.
Installed on rails down each side of the store, the warm halogen lighting brings out the clothes' colour. The lighting design specified is also energy- and bulb-efficient – an essential consideration as the store trades seven days a week.
"A striking window display is illuminated by recessed halogens and par cans. We also recommended vanity-style lighting for change rooms, to bring out the colour of the clothes and let customers see themselves in a favourable light," says Bond.
Cetnaj Stronglink has lighting options to match many building styles displayed in its highly visible Takapuna, Manukau and East Tamaki showrooms.
