Before and after photos say it all. This house features a new Gerard Senator shingle roof
In any major renovation project, re-roofing is a key element. The Whangarei farmhouse featured on these pages was no exception. The owners say it was particularly important to choose the right roofing for their renovation, as the house can be overlooked from many areas around the farm.
Alan and Leah Goodhew, who are also the owners of GJ Gardner Homes Northland, say the house was extended to provide an additional 80m2 of living space. As well as roofing the new extension, they needed to replace the original longrun iron roof. Gerard Senator shingles in Eclipse were chosen as the most suitable option. As well as providing the right look, this roofing is lightweight and easy to maintain.
Gerard Senator roofing, like all Gerard Roofs products, has various trim options available and colour co-ordinates with most standard building products. The roofing comes with a 50-year pro rata weatherproof guarantee.
The Goodhews' house is one of 15 Highly Commended winners in the Gerard Roofs Home of the Year Awards.
