Flooring is often one of the largest items to be replaced during a renovation. Sustainable timber options from The Lumberbank offer a contemporary solution

Eco-friendly alternative

When you're investigating new flooring options for your home, versatility will a key consideration. Not only must a floor be hard-wearing and stain resistant, it has to look great too.

The Lumberbank can supply a wooden floor made from timber harvested with care for the environment, providing a practical surface that's adaptable to any style of interior.

The company imports Victorian ash, a light-coloured, medium-density hardwood, from Australia. This is a great alternative to native species such as tawa that have become harder to source, says The Lumberbank's general manager Buster Wylie.

"Victorian ash is recognised as one of the world's most versatile timbers. It is a classic hardwood that machines and polishes exceptionally well and its pale straw tones will accept a wide variety of stains, paints and finishes, " he says.

The wood supplied by The Lumberbank is milled in accordance with internationally respected forest management practices.

The company can also supply Victorian ash for furniture and joinery.
