Whether for a home interior or an upmarket hotel, well-made furniture sets the scene – these modern pieces are from Otago Furniture
From first glancing round a room to settling into an upholstered couch, or drawing a finely covered chair to the dining table, furniture has a dramatic impact on our living environment. For every interior, be it a modest living room or an expansive hotel lobby, fine handcrafted furniture makes all the difference.
As a family business, Otago Furniture has been creating attractive, well-made furniture designs for retail outlets and commercial projects since 1868, says commercial manager Allan Brown.
"We have been particularly active in the commercial sector over the past 25 years, creating durable, scene-setting pieces for environments like the Rydges Hotel's bar and bedrooms shown here."
Otago Furniture makes upholstered furniture, as well as hard furniture.
"In fact, we work with a range of materials – solid timbers, veneers, laminates and melamine," says Brown. "Our experienced team can create custom pieces tailored to your interior in a range of materials, woods and finishes. Alternatively, we can help adapt your own ideas into a practical finished product."
The furniture company's extensive product range includes dining tables, occasional tables, dining chairs, buffets, bedheads, sofas and armchairs.
"Otago Furniture prides itself on high standards of workmanship, reliability and a friendly, approachable team," says Brown.
