From an invisible cooktop to LED walls inspired by self-driving cars, here are 3 technologies set to change how you live
In this article, we'll take a look at some of the technologies you may want to consider during your next renovation or build.
1. Solar roofs
You'll likely have heard of Tesla: the electric car company on a mission to usher in the age of sustainable energy. The company produces electric cars like the Model S and Model X, as well as large batteries to store energy for homes and businesses.
With the newest Tesla product – the Solar Roof – the company hopes to turn homes into individual utilities with a combination of solar panels and batteries. In the near future, there's a good chance you'll power your own home and your car.
2. Integrated cooktops
The TPB cooktop is a porcelain bench top solution that incorporates an energy efficient induction hob cooking system. This provides a unified, seamless and almost invisible cooking surface that gives a totally new meaning to luxury designer kitchens.
3. LED walls
LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is the latest in tracking technology, used in self-driving cars for companies like Uber, Mercedes, Tesla and Google.
ENESS uses LiDAR to detect peoples’ actions, turning this information into interactive visuals for their latest high-tech walls, LUMES. Walls are transformed into a light-emitting material that visually reacts to movement, objects, temperature and time of day.
